Learning Support Assistant - SEN

28.3 hours per week, 8:30 –3.30pm with 30 minutes lunch

39 weeks

Grade 5, Point 7 to 8, £12,019 – £12,261 per annum

Fixed term until 21st August 2022

We seek candidates who are experienced in providing support to pupils on a one to one basis to help them cope with the classroom environment.

The Learning Support Assistant - SEN will mainly be required to work with an individual child with special educational needs to provide care and encouragement, supporting them to participate in planned learning activities and to support their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.

The ideal candidate for the role will be NVQ Level 2 qualified or equivalent with demonstrable experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting. The ability to adapt communication and listen to the needs of the pupil will be essential to being successful in this role.
