Working Wks: Term Time plus Inset Days (39 weeks)

Grade: Grade 5, Pts 7 to 8

Salary: £5,365 to £5,455 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join us at the Melton and South Charnwood Inclusion Partnership (MSCIP), located at The Roundhill Academy. The Melton and South Charnwood Inclusion Partnership works with schools in the area to support children and young. The Learning Support Assistant is responsible for predominantly supporting students on a 1:1 basis. You will have the ability to engage with disadvantaged students, to learn and implement the MCSIP Strategies to provide successful outcomes for the students.

This is a unique opportunity for someone interested in beginning a career in education to work in a school which places teaching and learning at the heart of all that we do.

We are looking to appoint a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to providing high quality support to our pupils, support workers and teachers within the MSCIP Unit. The post holder will work within a wider MSCIP team who can support personal development if this becomes an area of interest for you.

This role is a rewarding one with a successful candidate having the opportunity to have access to CPD delivered by experts in teaching and learning and a bespoke CPD schedule for Learning Support Assistants, including access to the National College bank of training. The position is ideally suited to both those who would like to go in to teaching and those more established in the learning support role. We are committed to developing you as a person and your career in education.

 The ideal candidate will have:

• An NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent

• Experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting

• The ability to provide the appropriate and professional support as required
