Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 SEN

Fixed Term contract until August 2022.

5 days per week (26.67 hours)

Term time + 1 week

Grade 5, Points 7 to 8 – £11,625- £11,858

Start Date: can be discussed at interview


We seek a candidate who is experienced in providing support to pupils on a one to one basis to help them cope with the classroom environment.

The Learning Support Assistant - SEN will be required to work with an individual child with special educational needs to provide care and encouragement, supporting them to participate in planned learning activities and to support their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. They will also need to support them within the whole class and in small groups to become more independent.

The ideal candidate for the role will be NVQ Level 2 qualified or equivalent with demonstrable experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting. The ability to adapt communication and listen to the needs of the pupil will be essential to being successful in this role.
