An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Stafford Leys Primary School as a Casual Unattended Lettings Officer. We are seeking an individual to support the Premises Team with the lettings at our vibrant education facility. You will be responsible for the opening and closing of the school around the scheduled lettings. The post holder will also be required to carry out additional cleaning duties across the premises in relation to the lettings.

The Unattended Lettings Officer will be offered the post on a casual basis. The hours of employment will vary throughout the year dependant on the lettings that are scheduled, you will therefore be required to be flexible as the majority of these hours will be required for evenings and weekends, with the opportunity to work some additional hours on an ad hoc basis.

We are looking for someone who can support our busy lettings schedule as the on-site point of contact, increasing the capacity within the team; ensuring that the site is ready for school use and other letting hirers.

This role is a rewarding one with a successful candidate having the opportunity to assist in providing security and cleanliness of the school’s buildings and grounds so that all students, staff and users have a comfortable, clean, safe and well-maintained environment to work in.  The ideal candidate will:

• Be a responsible, engaging and organised individual

• Have experience of working within a school setting is desirable but not essential

• Have the ability to work under their own initiative

• Adaptability to varying hours, including evenings and weekends, as required

• Have the ability to undertake a range of cleaning duties

• Have the ability to handle movement of furniture contributing to the setup arrangement of the lettings

• Have good communication and interpersonal skills

• Handle keys and access responsibility to maintain the security of premises
