Applications are invited for the post of part-time Learning Support Assistant at Waltham on the Wolds CE Primary School.

The main role of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is to provide 1:1 support for a child with special educational needs. The LSA will ensure that the pupil can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other children in the class and make progress. Duties will include running specific programmes and activities to assist the pupils’ individual learning and social needs, and to aid access to the full range of learning experiences, both inside and outside the classroom, providing modified materials as required e.g. worksheets, games, visual prompt cards etc.

The LSA will be responsible for implementing the targets on the pupils’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) in liaison with the Class Teachers and the SENCo.

If you are passionate about children’s learning, wellbeing and welfare to help them flourish and succeed; are a values-led individual with high expectations of achievement of yourself and others; have excellent communication and listening skills and are a team-player who is willing to get involved in the full life of the school, then we would love to hear from you.

In return we can offer a setting with enthusiastic and well-behaved pupils in small classes and friendly, hard-working, supportive staff, parents and Governors. There will be a range of high-quality professional development opportunities including opportunities for coaching and mentoring in school and within our network of schools. Our school offers a well-resourced setting with new facilities in a beautiful rural location. There is the opportunity of endless possibilities to succeed and strong partnerships with our community and Academy Trust.
