As Group Marketing Officer (Digital), you will take ownership of the group’s digital strategy, in addition to leading and advising a portfolio of schools on their marketing and communication strategies and initiatives to drive recruitment, promote word of mouth and parent satisfaction. You will support the schools’ in-house marketing and admissions function, ensuring best practice processes are in place, and that everyone is working towards set marketing objectives to aid pupil growth. You will join a team of highly enthusiastic and creative marketing and communications professionals who work in close partnership to drive group marketing and communications initiatives, share best practice and new ideas groupwide, and effectively support our highly experienced and dedicated Education Team, Heads and their staff. It is vital that the successful candidate for this role has previous experience in a digital marketing role.
The position requires a digitally savvy marketer who is a flexible and goal driven “all-rounder” with an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong work ethic and a drive to develop and lead on our groupwide digital marketing strategy. We are looking for a person who is self-motivated, creative and has a sincere interest in other people. With a strong focus on goals and detail-orientation, this role provides you with a great deal of responsibility and autonomy. In this role you will report in to the Group Marketing Manager.
This is a full-time position, start date: December 2020/January 2021.
The role will be based in our offices in central London, with regular travel to our schools (please note under the current Covid-19 circumstances you will primarily work from home with a combination of visiting schools and going in to our office for the foreseeable future).
THE GROUP MARKETING OFFICER (DIGITAL) IS EXPECTED TO
Schools Marketing and Admissions
• Work with the Heads and school marketing teams to design an annual marketing strategy, propose pupil growth targets and budgets for your portfolio of schools based on market research and performance review
• Guide the development of annual marketing plans in line with the admissions cycle for each school and review initiatives on a termly basis. Ensure that marketing plans are aligned with the schools’ strategic development plans
• Support school-based marketers in managing their budgets and tracking ROI to ensure good channel investments
• Work with your schools to ensure a strong value proposition and brand differentiation is in place, and a clear communication mix and PR strategy
• Support your schools in maintaining an effective digital strategy through website, social media, listings and paid campaigns
• Ensure innovative campaigns and initiatives support pupil recruitment and retention in your schools
• Guide the admissions registrars in best practice to maintain an effective admissions customer journey, and ensure that appropriate action is taken to maximise enquiry generation and conversion
• Work with the schools’ marketers, registrars and IT staff to ensure all admissions and marketing activities are logged onto the schools’ MIS system, and that the team is fully competent on using the system
• Monitor the progress of each school’s admissions activities through detailed data analysis of the enquiry pipeline, identifying any issues
• Ensure the group’s weekly and monthly KPI reporting and monitoring is in place at your schools, and facilitate monthly discussions with your Heads and the marketing and admissions teams so that the data is being used effectively to guide actions
• Support Heads with recruitment, induction and performance management of new marketing and admissions staff at your schools
Groupwide
• Drive and lead on the digital marketing strategy across the group, ensuring best practice and tools/systems are in place for the management of websites, social media, HTML newsletters, listings and paid campaigns, and the appropriate reporting processes help monitor performance effectively
• Collaborate with colleagues in the marketing and communications team on groupwide initiatives, sharing of best practice, marketing training and workshops for school staff, and effective reporting, processes, insights gathering and analysis
• Proactively work with leadership, education and marketing and communications teams to identify new ideas and product development that aims to provide resources, support and experiences that Bellevue parents, pupils and staff benefit from
• Ensure groupwide research and insights processes are in place for your schools through annual surveys and focus groups, to identify issues and support parent, pupil and staff satisfaction in our schools
