The Governing Body of the Garw Valley Federation, comprising of Betws Primary, Ffaldau Primary and Blaengarw Primary, is seeking to appoint a dynamic, dedicated, and forward-thinking Head of School to join our leadership team. Our Federation serves a diverse and wide-ranging catchment area and is known for its strong community spirit. While the post is primarily intended to cover the Head of School position at Betws Primary School, you may be required to provide leadership across other schools within our Federation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and the wider community. Working closely with the Executive Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Federation, working in partnership with staff, pupil, parents and the wider community. You will provide strong and visible leadership across the Federation, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and wellbeing for every child.
As a Head of School, you will work under the direction of the Executive Headteacher, providing significant contribution to the development of a clear vision for the Federation and the professional leadership required to enable all staff to support learners in achieving their full potential. You will deputise for the Executive Headteacher as required and lead on key areas including performance management, assessment, safeguarding, estates and buildings management, HR, inclusion, and financial compliance.
