Deputy SENDCO
37 hours per week, Term time including Inset days.
Permanent, required 1 September 2023
Salary: £23836 - £26252 per annum
To assist the SENDCO in fulfilling the school’s statutory SENDCO duties and to assist with leading a team of LSAs in managing the provision of special educational needs and learning support within the school. An interest and experience in effectively supporting pupils with needs within the following categories desirable:
● SEMH and / or
● Cognition & Learning and / or
● Physical & Sensory and / or
● Communication & Interaction
The successful candidate will have:
● a proven track record and evidence of forging successful working relationships with pupils with SEND and / associated vulnerabilities and / or disadvantage
● knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection legislation and guidance
● a passion for seeing all pupils including those with SEND make the best possible progress
● be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to and interest in delivering whole school training
