Senior HR Advisor

Employment start date: 1st July 2024

Employment basis: Full-time, 37.5 working hours per week across 5 days, all year round (Flexibility in hours considered for the right candidate, but no less than 32.5 hours across 5 days)

Cathedral Schools Trust are seeking to appoint a Senior HR Advisor to join our Central HR team and support all schools across our Trust from July 2024.

You will work closely with Heads, School Business/HR managers to provide a professional, trusted and solution focussed HR service, that delivers best practice within our values led organisation. The role will include providing best practice advice and support, including but not limited to: absence management, conduct, and capability, grievance, organisational change, family policies (maternity and paternity, shared parental, flexible working), including providing professional advice at hearings. There will also be the opportunity to lead on specialist HR areas including long term sickness absence and wellbeing initiatives. Cathedral Schools Trust is made up of three secondary schools (Bristol Cathedral Choir School, St Katherine's School and Trinity Academy) and six primary schools (Victoria Park, Cathedral Primary, Stoke Park, St Werburgh’s, Hotwells and Victoria Park). Three further primary schools will be joining the Trust later this year. This will be a key role within the Cathedral Schools Trust (CST) central team supporting the HR & Recruitment Manager and partnering with other members of the HR team in the delivery of an effective people strategy that delivers school improvement and achieves our Trust goals.
