About Us
Cathedral Schools Trust (CST) is a family of schools committed to inspiring learning both in and beyond the classroom. With a strong focus on music and the creative arts, we support every student and staff member in reaching their full potential. If you’re looking for a Trust that values creativity, growth, and meaningful learning, CST could be the perfect place for you.
We invite you to join our team at Bristol Cathedral Choir School. We exist to provide a world-class education for the children of Bristol – so that they leave with a deep understanding of the world around them. The school is a highly oversubscribed state cathedral choir school with a rich history and a Christian ethos. It is a music school, educating choristers for Bristol Cathedral for the past 880 years and offers an enhanced and rich musical experience for all. The school provides a traditional academic curriculum to its students, regardless of their background or ability, and emphasises the teaching of ‘Powerful Knowledge’.
The Opportunity
Applications are invited from charismatic, enthusiastic and suitably qualified teachers for this exciting and rewarding post within our highly committed PE department at the beginning of a period of significant change at the school – moving the school from delivering good educational provision to something that is genuinely world class.
We have a strong tradition of PE and school sport facilitated by a dedicated and experienced PE team. Our PE lessons take place onsite (single PE) and offsite at Failand (double PE). We deliver a range of sports and physical activities in our curriculum including rugby, football, netball, gymnastics, table tennis, dance and many more. It will be essential to be able to teach PE at KS3, KS4 & KS5. This role is predominantly teaching Girls’ PE.
Due to the nature of the role and the need to supervise our female students in the changing rooms before and after PE lessons, we are seeking a female PE teacher. This is an occupational requirement due to the sensitive nature of the work and the specific safeguarding requirements of the role.
About You
This role requires someone who has a positive disposition, who has attention to detail, who is a rule follower and who is a team player.
