Our Aims

Aspiration, Ambition and Expectations

The primary aim of the Trust is to raise aspirations and deliver an outstanding education for all, so that each individual is given every opportunity to achieve their upmost potential.

We set out to achieve this through:

  • AN AMBITIOUS AND PERSONALISED CURRICULUM
  • PACE AND CHALLENGE FOR ALL
  • HIGH ASPIRATIONS FOR STUDENTS AS LEARNERS AND LEADERS
  • STUDENTS AS WELL INFORMED AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS
  • INCLUSIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
  • STUDENT WELLBEING

Our vision is to develop a thriving partnership of schools with a strong collective identity that work together to generate and celebrate success.

By working together we create an environment that supports and challenges our schools allowing them to develop and thrive, whilst removing some of the operational burdens that distracts leaders and teachers from their core business.

Teaching and Learning at CBAT

xxxx.JPG

A commitment to recruiting and developing the best teaching and support staff.

CBAT schools have a commitment to:

  • The continuing professional development of our staff.
  • Providing support for the development of teachers from NQT to aspiring Headteacher through our partnership with CETA.
  • Initial teacher training to develop a future workforce – working with training partners, GITEP, Bath Spa and Bristol Universities.

Since being awarded National Teaching School status in 2014, Marling School formed CETA and has taken a lead role in school-centred training and the professional development of staff. As CBAT is now a strategic partner in the Cotswold Edge Teaching Alliance (CETA), we are committed to pursuing excellence in teaching, learning and leadership. Training, support, research and development is created and delivered by schools for schools across the primary and secondary sector.

The support we can commission from CETA for every school in the Trust includes:

  • CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)
  • LEADERSHIP TRAINING
  • SCHOOL TO SCHOOL SUPPORT (S2SS)
  • COTSWOLD EDGE TEACHING ALLIANCE (CETA)
