Welcome to Chapmanslade Primary School

Chapmanslade is a small village primary school with Christianity at its heart, where pupils and staff aim to show love to their neighbour through demonstrating compassion, service, courage and trust. Chapmanslade remains a ‘Good’ school following our Ofsted inspection in March 2023.

Vision and Values

‘Love your neighbour as yourself’

Luke 10:25-37

Chapmanslade School is a truly unique village school. Pupils consistently demonstrate and show a passion for being good neighbours. Our Christian vision, to ‘love your neighbour as yourself’ comes from Luke 10:25-37, The Parable of the Good Samaritan.

Our school is an inclusive place where every member of our school community shows compassion and service, looking out for each other. We recognise all of our pupils as individuals, celebrating their strengths and differences. We aim to give courage to our pupils to achieve their full potential, experience personal successes and thrive in all that they do. We focus on relationships and building trust; modelling this to our wonderful young learners.

We believe that these are the core values shown by the good Samaritan in the parable and in the hymn, ‘When I Needed a Neighbour, Were You There?’.

Recognising its historic foundation, Chapmanslade School will honour and protect its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England, working in partnership with Chapmanslade and Corsley Churches and the Salisbury Diocese. Chapmanslade School serves its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice, encouraging an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promoting Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.

ABOUT ACORN EDUCATION TRUST

"PREPARING YOUNG PEOPLE FOR THEIR WORLD IN THEIR TIME"

ACORN.jpg

The Acorn Education Trust was formed in August 2014 to create a local solution to a national strategy. Through close collaboration and a shared vision we believe each school will achieve great things while retaining their individual identity. Underpinning this close collaboration is a strong belief in our core purpose.

School improvement is the key to school effectiveness and is at the heart of the process of raising standards. It allows us to deliver an education for all children/students that is of the highest quality. The Acorn Education Trust is driven by its core purpose of improving outcomes and life chances for students and believes that an effective School Improvement Strategy is the key to unlocking the potential in its leaders, staff and children/students. An effective Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) uses the School Improvement Strategy to help ensure accountability, drive strategic thinking and deploy resources in order to improve outcomes for its children/students. Our leadership and management of each school is based on three principles:

Every school is an improving school

Leadership at every level is critical

The unique identity of each school must be preserved
