Clare House School Porthcawl is seeking to appoint a reliable and conscientious Facilities Assistant to join our founding team. Role overview
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, shared spaces and wider school facilities
- Support the creation of a safe, organised and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and families
- Carry out cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, waste management and replenishing consumables
- Support the safe use and storage of cleaning materials and equipment
- Report maintenance concerns, hazards or equipment issues promptly
- Work flexibly across different areas of the school as required
- Contribute positively to the wider life and daily operation of the school community
Requirements
- Experience working within a cleaning or facilities role
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment
- Understanding of health and safety requirements, including COSHH awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable, organised and methodical approach to work
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to pupil wellbeing
