This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving, co-educational independent day school on the outskirts of Bristol. We are looking for a dynamic and highly capable Examination Officer and Academic Administrator, to manage external examinations and in addition provide administrative support to the Senior Management Team and other managers within the School.

The role:

The Examination Officer and Academic Administrator will manage the administration of examinations, which includes overseeing the timetable, entry of candidates and submission of coursework and exams. They will also provide administrative support to the Assistant Head (Curriculum), Assistant Head (Academic), Assistant Head (Sixth Form), Timetabler and Data Manager. The successful candidate will take personal responsibility for managing their workload, be flexible in the face of changing demands and have a positive approach to work. They will need to be highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Previous experience of managing examinations within schools is highly desirable.

Collegiate School is a thriving co-educational day school on the outskirts of Bristol. The School occupies a glorious thirty-acre campus and has all of its facilities on-site. We are easily accessible from the motorway network, with approximately 800 students aged from 3 to 18.

Hours and salary:

The hours for this role will be 37.5 hours per week, working 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday, with the requirement to work later during exam seasons to oversee the end of examinations. These hours include half an hour unpaid lunch break. The role is term time (35 weeks including INSET), with 4 additional weeks to be worked to support the exams programme.

You will receive a salary of between £24,053 and £26,630 per annum, (£28,000 and £31,000 FTE), depending on skills, experience and qualifications, and including a holiday allowance based on 25 days per year plus 8 bank holidays. Other benefits include lunch during term time, free parking on site and a defined contribution pension scheme.
