The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving, diverse, co-educational independent day school on the outskirts of Bristol. We are looking for a dynamic and highly capable Head of Careers and Employability, to coordinate and deliver the careers and employability provision of our Senior School whilst contributing to the wider life of this busy holistic school community. This post is offered from October 2023.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of current good CEIAG practice, innovative, highly organised and have excellent people management and communication skills. They will develop excellent relationships with local and national businesses, professional organisations and higher education institutes, as well as with parents and guardians, to ensure students receive outstanding career support.
Hours and Salary:
This is a part time role, working 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. These hours are to be worked during term time and INSET days, with two additional weeks during the school holiday period.
You will receive a competitive salary depending on skills, experience and qualifications, a holiday allowance based on 25 days per year plus 8 bank holidays pro-rata. Staff benefits include free lunches during term time, free on-site parking and use of the school’s sports facilities.
About the School:
Collegiate School occupies a glorious thirty-acre campus and has all of its facilities on-site. We are easily accessible from the motorway network, with approximately 800 students aged from 3 to 18.
We are proud of our high academic standards and our innovative approach to the development of teaching and learning across the school. We value the range of opportunities we provide for our pupils outside the classroom. In our recent ISI report the school was judged excellent in all areas; raw examination results are consistently good, value-add scores are high and we have waiting lists in most year groups.
