Darlington College seeks an exceptional and student-centred leader to join our Executive Team as Assistant Principal – Students. This is a pivotal strategic leadership role within the College, responsible for shaping and delivering an outstanding student experience from first engagement through to successful progression and destination outcomes.

Students are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an inspirational leader who will champion a culture where every student feels welcomed, safe, valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. The successful postholder will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all aspects of the student journey, ensuring high-quality, inclusive and responsive services that enable all learners to thrive.

Working closely with the Deputy CEO and Principal and fellow Executive Team members, the Assistant Principal – Students will lead a broad portfolio of student-facing services, ensuring alignment with the College’s strategic priorities, national policy developments, statutory responsibilities and sector best practice.

We are seeking a dynamic, visible and values-driven leader with substantial senior leadership experience within further education, education, public sector or a similarly complex organisation.
