1 PURPOSE OF JOB

To plan, promote and deliver a programme of enrichment activities (including sports) to engage all students and promote health and well being, personal safety, community projects, volunteering, fund raising, teamwork, economic well being. To plan visiting speakers on relevant topics and to arrange team building activities and talks during welcome week.

2. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  The duties and responsibilities of this post are inherently of a professional nature and are wide ranging. They include, but are not restricted to the following:

2.1 Plan, promote and deliver an annual programme of activities (including sports) to engage learners. This will be planned taking into account available resources, student demand, and engagement.

2.2 Providing opportunities for all learners to engage in student activities.

2.3 Contribute to admissions and induction through the provision of team building activities.

2.4 Support delivery of the enrichment activities programme, including running a range of activities in the gym and sports hall.

2.5 Contribute to coaching college teams participating in leagues/competitions.

2.6 Plan a programme of visiting speakers on relevant topics.

2.7 Liaise with community groups, organisations and agencies to enhance the activities programme and promotion event and attend meetings as appropriate.

2.8 Liaise with vocational staff to plan events, visits, exhibitions, competitions and activities.

2.9 Arrange transport and book appropriate tickets, accommodation etc to support events.

2.10 Participate in events including promotions, open evenings, parents’ nights etc.

2.11 Develop a programme of fixtures, and support these to encourage participation in team events.

2.12 Co-ordinate and be responsible for resources to support enrichment activities and events.

2.13 Undertake associated administrative responsibilities and preparing reports for line manager.

2.14 Comply with college policies, procedures and quality assurance systems.

2.15 Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with grade as may be assigned by the line manager.
