“Genius is 1% talent and 99% hard work.” - Thomas Edison

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Physics to join our forward-thinking Science department and work with outstanding physics Teachers. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an ECT with a passion for physics and a commitment to delivering engaging, high-quality lessons. The successful candidate will teach Physics across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for those with appropriate experience. We are looking for someone who can spark curiosity, foster a love of learning, and support students in achieving excellent outcomes.

At Didsbury High School we deliver an ambitious, challenging curriculum that builds powerful knowledge and mastery of key concepts. We aim to spark curiosity, support scientific enquiry and provide enrichment opportunities, ensuring all students gain the understanding and confidence needed to succeed in life and pursue science beyond Key Stage 4. Physics at Didsbury High School helps students understand the world by building confidence with equations and units, exploring forces through clear force arrows and Newton’s laws, and using simple models to explain voltage and current. Pupils also learn what a wave is by looking at wavelength, frequency and amplitude, while the idea of energy conservation ties everything together. We make physics engaging, practical and relevant for every learner.
