"I am delighted to welcome you to E-ACT The Kingfisher School. Working together with other Trust schools we are committed to providing each child with an exceptional education in an empathetic, supportive environment.

The Kingfisher School provides education from Nursery through to Year 6. Since September 2018, we have been housed in our brand new school build which provides amazing facilities for all our pupils from Nursery to Year 6.

Working together we will ensure that the values on which the school is founded drive our development forward so that The Kingfisher School offers children the strongest foundation for learning."

Vision and Values

Vision and School Values:

Our values of 'Work Hard, Be Kind, Have Courage' underpin everything that we do in school.

  • Work Hard: We embrace challenge and show determination to achieve.
  • Be Kind: We show compassion towards others and demonstrate respect as a school community.
  • Have Courage: We develop the curiosity and bravery to pursue our dreams and aspirations.

Together, we will foster a community of lifelong learners who are prepared to make a positive impact in the world.

Children can show how they demonstrate the school values in and outside of school by being the following:

Work Hard

By working hard, we will:

Be resilient and learn from mistakes, be focused and manage distractions, be ambitious, be proud, be determined and have a go at everything, be positive, be proud of our learning and presentation, be safe, be a role model to others and be active in participation across all areas of school life.

Be Kind:

By being kind, we will:

Be polite and use good manners, be helpful, be respectful to each other, our environment and ourselves, be calm, be active listeners, be supportive, be inclusive, be responsible, be thoughtful of others and learn from, respect and celebrate our differences!

Have Courage:

By having courage, we will:

Be creative, be brave to try new things, be inquisitive, be excited about learning, be confident and be curious

We are proud to be a part of E-ACT

We are proud to be one of 28 E-ACT academies in England

Our community includes over 18,000 pupils and 2,300 teachers and non-teaching professionals across the country.

What it means to be part of E-ACT

As an E-ACT academy we share ideas with other academies in the trust in ways other schools may not be able to. Our pupils and staff also feel part of something much bigger.

E-ACT academies also have support from people across the trust who help us to make things even better for our children.

An E-ACT Academy in Birmingham, E-ACT Heartlands Academy, was ranked one of the best secondary schools in the country and was named School of the Year at the Times Educational Supplement schools awards in 2020.

Think big, show team spirit, do the right thing

We believe that young people should never be held back from achieving great things.

By encouraging them to think big and believe that anything is possible, by showing them the importance of team spirit and by supporting them to carefully think through decisions to do the right thing, we know that every one of our pupils can realise their full potential.
