Sorry, we are currently not recruiting for any vacancies
We would love you to join our Talent Pool so we can contact you when the right vacancy arises.
Eastrop is a forward-thinking, infant academy nestled in Highworth, on the border of Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, for children aged between 2 and 7 since we opened our new nursery in September 2019.
I joined Eastrop in September 2016 and feel very proud to be the Head Teacher, leading and working as part of a committed staff team.
On 1st January 2018, a special partnership with Southfield Junior School began, after a short period of interim school to school support, and I feel very privileged to be the Executive Head Teacher of both schools now.
We believe that learning has no limits and do our best to make sure that every day is outstanding for every child who attends our school. Our vision is absolutely clear: we will be recognised nationally and locally as a beacon of educational excellence - a little school that thinks BIG!
Eastrop provides nearly 180 children with an exciting environment in which they grow and develop by learning lots and making great friends. We are very well supported by an active P.T.A. and parents who are overwhelmingly positive about our school. Alongside our ambitious and highly effective Governing Body, we have an unwavering desire for the children to receive the very best, all-round education so that they are confident, independent and ready to take their next steps when they leave us at the end of Year 2.

OUR VISION
Eastrop Infant and Southfield Junior Schools share an Executive Head Teacher and Chair of Governors. Although we are two, stand alone academies, we have formed a special partnership in which we make the best use of our resources so that the children receive an excellent and seamless education throughout their primary years. Together, Eastrop and Southfield share a vision, set by our Governing Bodies in March 2018.
Our partnership will be recognised locally and nationally as a beacon of educational excellence.

OUR VALUES
A school’s values are so much more than words on a wall. They are the distilled essence of the school’s philosophy and, as such, we at Eastrop Infant School believe that it is vital that they come from the children.
In its capacity as the voice of the children, the School Council recently helped draw up a new set of school values. The 12-strong council – which has two representatives from each class across all three year groups held a series of meetings with governor Jan Milsom and our then School Council leader, Mr. Duncan, who were frequently dazzled by the children’s insight, wisdom and passion regarding the subject.
The discussions were animated and articulate. Indeed, setting the intellectual tone right at the start, a reception child on the council identified values as ‘something that is personal to you’.
Respect - We can show respect to others by setting a good example. There should be respect between children and adults towards each other. We are all different and might believe in different things. We should respect our bodies and try to be healthy. We should respect our property and take care of school property.
Excellence - We can always try our very best to be good at everything we do. We know that not everyone is good at everything. We can help each other to be excellent.
Determination - We can keep on practising and not stop and give up if we don’t find it easy.
Courage - We can help and encourage others to become more confident.
Awareness - We can notice all school equipment around us and look after it properly. We can help ourselves and others to be safe. We can notice if someone hasn’t got a friend. We can be aware of how others might be feeling.
Friendship - We can be kind to others because it is important to have friends. Friends will make you happy and they can comfort you.
