Welcome

Our trust is a collaboration of schools, based in the southwest of England, focused on achieving the best outcomes, in the broadest sense, for all children that attend our schools.

We are passionate about a holistic education. To this end, we aim for our children to achieve well against the national curriculum but believe that this should not be to the detriment of their ethical education or their sense of purpose. As such, we adhere to the national curriculum but also teach a curriculum, called Learn Together, that allows children to develop both their ethical understanding of the world as well as a deep-rooted set of values.

To support our work, we have a set of four core principles, to which we endeavour to hold ourselves to account:

Equity-based

Aspirational

Child-centred

Collaborative

We have a dedicated staff team, that I am proud to work alongside, that are committed to achieving the best for the children in their care.

Ethos and values

Educate Together Academy Trust (ETAT) has five primary schools: Redfield Educate Together in Bristol, Somerdale Educate Together in Keynsham, Mulberry Park Educate Together in Bath, Parklands Educate Together in Weston-super-Mare and Abbey Farm Educate Together in Swindon.

Our unique ethical curriculum and our core principles enable us to create a learning environment that nurtures, encourages and builds the skills children will need in our increasingly diverse and globalised world.

We are an equality based school where no child is an outsider and we learn together to live together. We aim to develop the whole child, encouraging their individuality, respecting each child’s identity and respecting that of their family equally.

We work hard to create a positive, comfortable atmosphere in all our schools nurturing each child as an individual. Each school is different and meets the needs and aspirations of their local community and parents however each school adheres to these 4 core principles:

Equity-based, Through being equitable in our work, all children and staff will have equal access to their rights and, regardless of background, all will be equally respected.

Aspirational, All of our children have the right to a holistic world class education. All our work aims to ensure that every child can make progress and achieve well in every aspect of their education.

Child-centred, Children are at the heart of every decision and activity. Their voices are actively sought and listened to. They play a lead role in shaping their education.

Collaborative, Our schools aim to be central to the communities they serve. As such, we look for opportunities to give voice to and work in partnership with all stakeholders of the schools.

We actively encourage and teach children to be proactive participants in our world, questioning and reflecting on all that life brings them.
