Somerdale Educate Together Primary Academy has a vacancy for a  Breakfast and After School Club Lead to manage our wraparound clubs before and after school. . 

We are looking to recruit a caring, motivated individual  to lead our small but happy team delivering  engaging activities during Breakfast Club and After School Club, ensuring children have a great start to their day and a safe nurturing environment. You will support, facilitate and encourage safe and productive play and interaction to ensure the safety, general welfare and proper conduct of children during this period.

We are looking for an individual  to:

  • Manage and run our wraparound clubs. 
  • Lead a small team to plan, prepare and supervise of a range of fun, play activities for children aged from pre-school - year 5
  • Carry out peer observations offering support and mentoring to the team
  • Be the designated person for the Early Years children attending the setting and complete any required documentation

You will need :

• Childcare Level 3 qualification.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience of working within a childcare or education setting.

• Understanding of Child Protection systems and requirements.

• Ability to understand and meet children's needs including those of children with special needs.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft applications.

• Efficient time management and organisational skills.

• Good judgment and decision-making abilities.

The salary is ETAT Grade D SCP 13 which is £28,163 pro rata. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 7.30 to 9.15 and 14.45 to 17.45 term time only (23.75 hours per week). The actual salary for these hours is £15,809 pa.
