KS 2 Class Teacher - full time or part time

Are you an organised and impactful class teacher?

Would you like to work within a small but successful team, in our one-form entry village school?

We are looking for a full time or part time teacher on a permanent contract.

We are keen to employ a teacher who is at the early stage of their teaching career so welcome applicants who are less experienced or an ECT, where mentorship will be offered to help you develop and flourish, ensuring you have a bright teaching career ahead of you.

Byfleet Primary is a small one-form entry, 'good' OFSTED-rated school, situated close to Byfleet Village, within walking distance to the train station and and the historic Brooklands Museum. We form one of six schools in EEEA (Engage Enrich Excel Academy) Trust and benefit from regular collaboration and professional development.

We are an outward-looking school, aspiring to provide our children with a fully mapped out curriculum and an additional support in every classroom. We have dedicated, specialist teachers for Spanish and PE and have a swimming pool onsite with a large field and playing fields, and developing forest school area.

We are exceptionally proud that our pupil outcomes are well above national average and pupils leave BPS fully prepared to take on the next part of their schooling journey, as happy, independent individuals, due to the excellent teaching on offer to them, as a result of the excellent CPD and teacher development we provide our staff.

What are we looking for?

A dynamic, forward-thinking teacher who:

  • is at the early stages of their career (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • is organised, works well with their time and meets deadlines
  • can make learning exciting and plan lessons that inspire our children, whilst retaining the rigour of the basic skills
  • plans creative lessons to ensure all curriculum areas accessed in an engaging manner
  • seeks opportunities to make the children's experience of school memorable and worthwhile
  • is a leader, self-directed, highly motivated and willing to try new ideas

What can we offer?

  • a Teaching Assistant in every classroom
  • in excess of 10% ring-fenced PPA each week
  • regular and dedicated leadership release-time
  • children who are well-behaved, enthusiastic to share their learning and respectful: behaviour is exemplary at BPS
  • an ambitious yet caring SLT, who will hold you to account to ensure you become the best you can be for our children, within a culture of support and kindness
  • a supportive community and governors, collegiate staff body and ambitious and caring SLT
  • onsite parking, free tea and coffee and a strong consideration for wellbeing, including Employee Assist Programme
  • opportunities for regular ongoing CPD and ECT 2-year training programme
  • a 2-week May half  term break (an extra week off to support your wellbeing!)

For the right candidate, this may be an opportunity to progress in your career and have wider school impact by stepping up into Leadership in the future.

We would love to show you around our wonderful school - please contact the school office to book this in.
