We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our thriving values-based school in September.

Maybury Primary is a happy, vibrant, values-based school, where everyone is a learner and every experience is a learning opportunity. We serve a diverse and multi-cultural community in the heart of Woking. Our school was inspected in June 2023. We are extremely proud to be a ‘Good’ School overall with an ‘Outstanding’ judgment in Early Years Foundation Stage, an ‘Outstanding’ judgment in Personal Development and an ‘Outstanding’ judgment in Behaviour and Attitudes. We are proud to be part of Engage Enrich Excel Academies.

We are looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our values-based school. The role is 5 days a week term-time only + 3 INSET days, 08:45 to 12:15 (17 hours and 30 minutes per week). The salary for this role is as per Surrey Pay Scale 3, £23,576 FTE. As this is a part-time role, the actual salary will be pro-rata that amount, £9,578.

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who will:

• support the learning and development of our children with additional language and communication needs

• work with professionals and staff to deliver targeted support to individuals and groups of children

• be a dynamic, creative, positive team member and an effective role model for our values-based ethos

We can offer the successful candidate an opportunity:

• to work within a supportive, friendly team

• to work with families and governors who appreciate and support the work of the school

• a range of training and development opportunities

• to work in a school which promotes wellbeing of staff

Please take a look at our school website which contains many photos of our school. The school is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre and train station and visits to the school to meet the staff and children are warmly welcomed and encouraged.

Maybury Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to enhanced DBS check. The school complies with the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009, by ensuring that staff are not disqualified from working with children.
