Starting Salary £12.56 per hour

Location: Walton-on-Thames, Surrey – within easy reach of local transport links. Free on-site parking available.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Facilities Assistant to join our team at Heathside Walton-on-Thames. A key focus of this role is managing Sunday lettings, ensuring our community users have a seamless experience. You will also play a vital part in maintaining a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained school environment.

Successful candidates will be self-motivated, organised, hardworking, and computer literate. Full training will be provided.

Core responsibilities of the role include:

• coordinate and manage Sunday lettings, supporting community users and ensuring smooth operation of all bookings

• assisting with security arrangements including opening and closing the site

• general maintenance, including scheduled maintenance and repairs, leaf clearing, litter picking and cleaning tasks

• assisting with health and safety checks and tasks and recording progress using online system

• assist with administering first aid, training provided

• painting and decorating experience or willingness to learn

Candidates should:

• Flexible, hard-working efficient and highly organised

• Knowledge of health and safety requirements would be advantageous

• Show initiative and be prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ when necessary

• Ability to use range of tools, move and lift heavy and bulky objects
