Welcome

The Trust was set up as a multi-academy trust in September 2015. Its initial focus was on ensuring that the single academy at its core, Heathside Weybridge, maintained its status as a high-performing school and put in place the necessary governance and financial structures needed to meet statutory and other Government requirements; and on developing its vision of how the Trust should develop. Heathside Walton-on-Thames, an 11-16 six form entry academy, opened to new Year 7 in September 2022, in a temporary building on the permanent site. The school will move into its permanent building in September 2023.

Heathside Weybridge

Heathside School’s focus on delivering a rich curriculum, maintaining high standards and ensuring an excellent standard of teaching and learning has placed the school in the top 10% at post 16 and in the top 15% at GCSE in progress nationally. The school is a vibrant and caring learning community where students thrive. The last Ofsted inspection in March 2018 stated;

Heathside is a harmonious school where everyone pulls together to do their best. Morale among pupils and teachers is high.

Heathside’s staff are extremely dedicated and have a wealth of subject knowledge and expertise which permeates the broad and balanced curriculum which they deliver. The curriculum also drives the development of cross curricular skills such as reading, communication skills, creativity and numeracy. A full programme of PSHE and RSE ensures pupils have the opportunity to explore and debate current topics and increase their knowledge on how to look after themselves, develop intercultural respect and understanding and keep themselves safe.

The school’s core values of Respect, Endeavour and Commitment help students to develop an empathy and understanding of others. It aims for all pupils, when they leave, to be responsible, caring individuals who approach the next stage of their lives with principled, open minds, able to make a positive, successful contribution as global citizens in a rapidly changing world.
