A fabulous opportunity for an experienced Governance Professional to join our growing Trust. You will be part of our friendly and professional Central Services Team, who provide business support to our schools.
The role is 15 hours per week, all year round, with a flexible working pattern to accommodate the governance meeting schedule. The meeting dates are agreed in advance.
£35,235 - £37,938 Full time equivalent, £14,285 - £15,380 Actual salary.
Our Governance Lead will manage the delivery and development of all aspects of governance across the Trust and the key responsibilities include:
- Providing accurate and high quality professional advice and guidance to the Board of Trustees and its committees
- Providing efficient and effective administration support
- Undertaking the role of Clerk to the Board of Trustees
- Acting as Company Secretary
- Line managing the Governance Assistants
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of governance structures, frameworks, processes and procedures
- Experience of supporting a Board or Governing Body in a similar role
- Experience of supervising staff
- Experience of ensuring office systems and procedures are efficient and effective
- Excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to analyse data, produce high quality reports and develop key documents
