Business Support Officer - Pathways Learning Centre

37hrs per week, Term time only, Permanent

£26,824 - £28,142 per annum full-time equivalent (actual salary for term-time only £23,072 - £24,206)

Do you love bringing calm to busy spaces, helping people stay connected, and being the person others know they can count on?

Are you looking for a role where your organisation, warmth, and attention to detail genuinely make a difference—not just to a team, but to the children and families we support?

At Pathways Learning Centre, every day is centred around helping young people overcome challenges, rebuild confidence, and move forward with hope and purpose. And behind every lesson, every intervention, and every moment of progress is a team that depends on clear communication, smooth systems, and strong relationships.

That’s where you come in.

As our new Business Support Officer, you’ll be at the heart of the Centre’s operations—keeping things running smoothly, helping colleagues stay connected, and ensuring the small but vital details are always in safe hands. Your work might be behind the scenes, but its impact will be felt in every classroom, every meeting, and every success story.

This is more than administrative support. This is a chance to use your skills to create stability, clarity, and kindness in a place where it truly matters.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinating and managing diaries and schedules
  • Organising meetings and supporting key events
  • Maintaining and updating databases and essential documents
  • Ensuring accurate records are kept and deadlines are met
  • Managing communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing efficient, reliable administrative support across the Centre

Who we're looking for:

  • Someone who brings warmth, professionalism, and precision to everything they do
  • A skilled administrator with excellent attention to detail
  • An effective communicator who builds positive relationships
  • Confident using IT systems and a variety of software packages
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
  • A team player who supports others and brings a positive attitude

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and a generous Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Excellent training, development and career progression opportunities
  • Flexible and hybrid working options
  • A friendly, supportive team who value and appreciate your work
  • A values-led organisation committed to wellbeing, inclusion, and a positive workplace culture

Safeguarding Statement:

Enable Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Suitability to work with children and young people will form part of the selection process. Short-listed applicants will be asked to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children and young people. We will carry out online searches on all short-listed applicants, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, Part 3, Safer Recruitment. Where given permission to do so, references will be requested for short-listed candidates prior to interview. Candidates attending an interview should expect the interview panel to explore issues relating to safeguarding. All successful applicants will be required to undergo security and vetting checks appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and an enhanced DBS check. Applicants must be aware that it is an offence to apply for a role if barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children and young people.
