A fabulous opportunity for a part-time role in a friendly special school, working as part of a great Estates Team, on our Gillingstool site in Thornbury.

£15,075 per annum (£24,790 Full time equivalent)

Working pattern (split shift):

Monday to Friday, 4.5 hours per day, 7-9.30am and 4-6pm, all year round. 

25 days Annual Leave plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days Annual Leave plus bank holidays, after 5 years. 

Your duties will include:

- Unlocking, locking up and keyholder duties 

- Stock control 

- Handy person duties, e.g. fixing door handles

- Safety checks, e.g. fire alarm testing

- Keeping outdoor areas tidy and safety, e.g. gritting in icy weather and leaf sweeping 

- Setting up school events, e.g. putting out chairs and tables 

- Hygiene supplies replenishment (toilet rolls, soap, paper towels) 

- Swimming pool checks (full training provided) 

- A range of general caretaking duties

The successful candidate will have:

- Experience of working in an environment which requires knowledge of health and safety procedures 

- Basic DIY skills 

- Basic knowledge of entering information into a computer 

- Willingness to undertake training
