About Us:

Two Bridges Academy is a specialist SEND school that opened in September 2024 and, in a short time, has established an exceptional educational offer for our pupils. As we move towards our final phase of growth in September 2026, we are now seeking to expand our team by appointing outstanding Teaching Assistants.

We are designated as a provision for pupils with SLD and PMLD, with a large proportion of our cohort having ASC or SLCN identified as the primary need on their EHCP. Our provision is carefully adapted to meet the diverse needs of all pupils.

Role overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will have a vital role in making a positive impact on the lives of our students and their families. Working alongside the class teacher and the classroom support team, you will help implement our holistic curriculum, which is designed to support students in achieving their planned goals, improving communication and social skills, accessing therapeutic support, and overcoming barriers to learning.

You will be a key member of the class support team, providing both direction and support, while maintaining high standards of teaching and fostering an engaging learning environment.

You will be able to develop relationships with families and to share with them the steps of their child’s educational journey.

Why join us?

• We are a positive and energetic team that values support and collaboration.

• You will contribute to the growth and development of a new expanding school.

• You will work in a purpose built provision with specialist facilities.

• You will receive a comprehensive programme of induction, training and support.

• Daily Staff Professional Time (non-contact time) is built into your contracted hours.

• Most importantly, you will gain memorable experiences of supporting pupils to learn and develop their independence and self-confidence.

Interviews will be held on: 26th & 27th March

You are welcome to visit the school on Friday 20th March at 4:30pm. Please contact Two Bridges Academy to book this.

Application process:

Applications are made via Eteach. The supporting statement section of the application must explain how you meet each requirement of the Person Specification using examples of your skills and experience. This may include experience from employment, education, or during career breaks. The supporting statement must be not more than 1000 words.

Safeguarding Statement:

Enable Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Suitability to work with children and young people will form part of the selection process. Short-listed applicants will be asked to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children and young people. We will carry out online searches on all short-listed applicants, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, Part 3, Safer Recruitment. Where given permission to do so, references will be requested for short-listed candidates prior to interview. Candidates attending an interview should expect the interview panel to explore issues relating to safeguarding. All successful applicants will be required to undergo security and vetting checks appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and an enhanced DBS check. Applicants must be aware that it is an offence to apply for a role if barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children and young people.

Equality information:

We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
