Welcome to Fairfield Community Primary School. We are an academy school working in partnership with Symphony Learning Trust. Starting school is an exciting time for children and we strive to make this transition as smooth as possible at our happy, vibrant school.

At Fairfield Community Primary School, we believe in community. Over the last 50 years, the school has established strong links with the local community and we pride ourselves on our unique identity and strong personal relationships. Alongside the community, establishing links between parents and the school is of vital importance and we would welcome any contribution you could make to school life. The school’s ethos is based upon the motto ‘Learning The Fairfield Way’. We endeavour to make learning interesting, engaging, purposeful and fun. In this way, we hope to nurture the children’s self-esteem and 

confidence so that progress and attainment in all areas of the curriculum. At Fairfield, we are very lucky to have friendly, hard-working, dedicated and effective members of staff who strive to achieve the very best for your children and to create a safe, secure, happy and stimulating learning environment in which a broad and balanced curriculum is delivered.

At Fairfield we provide a safe, nurturing environment and strive to inspire children so that they develop intellectually, physically and creatively by ensuring that all pupils have equal access to high-quality teaching and learning that they deserve.

Children enjoy learning at Fairfield and have a fantastic attitude that serves to encourage them to make good progress in the development both socially and academically. We aim to make our curriculum meaningful, interesting and fun, including real experiences for the children to enrich their development and understanding.

Our aims and values encompass British values of expecting high effort, understanding and tolerance of others and high values of respect and behaviour. We have ensured our curriculum places literacy and numeracy at the forefront although as always, we promote the fact that all subjects have their rightful place within the curriculum. We have ensured that the curriculum we offer is balanced, exciting and enriched and fully equips a child with knowledge, skills, tolerance and understanding of the 21st century world. We aim to offer opportunities for all pupils to excel. To achieve this, we have taken great care in the way we have organised our curriculum and use a knowledge and vocabulary based approach, enabling children to make links within their learning across year groups and subjects.

At Fairfield, we work hard to ensure children remember what they are taught in the long term which we hope will greatly enhance children’s understanding of the world and make learning new concepts easier and more enjoyable.
