Salary: SC5 point range 12 – 17 (£29,541.73 - £32,045.73) pro-rated to term time plus staff training days
Hours: 28.35 hrs per week 8.30 am to 3.15 pm (less unpaid 20 minute break and 45 minute lunch break), term time plus staff training days

About the role:
We are seeking to appoint a permanent HLTA at Lacon Chile School. The HLTA will be accountable for:
• Working with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils.
• Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
• Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
About you:
Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:
• Level 2 or 3 qualification for Teaching Assistants
• Previous experience in working in a school environment.
• An understanding of how pupils learn and the complexities of this process.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• An understanding of Child Protection policies.
• Patience and empathy towards pupils.
• Good command of literacy and numeracy.
This post will report to the Operational SENCo.
The post will commence 1 September 2026.
