About the role:

We are seeking to appoint a teacher of IT/computer science as part of our school teaching team. For an exceptional candidate, a TLR may be available for the role of Head of Computer Science.

The teacher of IT/computer science will be accountable for: planning and teaching lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach within the context of the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work.

 Enthusiasm to inspire in students a desire to learn and participate

 A willingness to get involved in the department’s extra-curricular offer

 Commitment to professional development and continual improvement

 Honours degree

 DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status

The post is full-time and permanent from 1 September 2026 and is suitable for both experienced and Early Career teachers. This role reports to a member of SLT.
