About the role:
We are excited to announce that we are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science as part of our school teaching team.
The Teacher of Science will be accountable for: planning and teaching lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach within the context of the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work. The successful candidate would teach students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
About you:
Our successful candidate you will need to be able to inspire, support and challenge students, as well as foster a love of learning about Science. As a department we work very closely and collaboratively together, so we are looking to appoint someone who can join in with our team ethos of collaboration and participate in extra-curricular activities linked to the subject area and wider school community.
Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:
- Honours Degree
- DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Evidence of keeping up to date with educational thinking and knowledge
- Able to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
- Positive attitude to use of authority and maintaining discipline
- Experience of teaching in a secondary school
The post will be permanent to start in September 2026 or earlier if available.
