Job Location: Cleobury Mortimer Primary School

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 30.00 hours per week, term time only. Hours to be worked 8.30 am to 3.00 pm with 30 minute lunch break, Monday to Friday

Salary: SC3 points 5 – 6 £25,583 – £25,989 (pro rata for hours and weeks worked).

About the role:

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 from 1 September 2026 as part of our school support team. This role is to work in our specialist SEND Hub to support pupils with complex needs including ‘personal care’.

The Teaching Assistant Level 2 will be accountable for:

• Working with class teachers and the SENCO to support the learning and attainment of pupils.

• Supporting pupils with language difficulties within the nursery setting.

• Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.

• Give support to ensure they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.

Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:

• Previous experience in working with children.

• Or be working towards or agreeing to study for a level two qualification.

• An understanding of how children learn and the complexities of this process.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.

• An understanding of Child Protection policies.

• Patience and empathy towards pupils.

• Good command of literacy and numeracy.

This role reports to the Headteacher.
