Outreach Teacher – Make a Difference in Surrey Schools

Freemantles School, a recognised centre of excellence for students aged 4–19 with Autism, is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Outreach Teacher to join its Outreach Team from January 2026.
About the Role
As an Outreach Teacher, you will work directly with Primary mainstream schools across Surrey to:
- Promote inclusive, autism-friendly practices and environments
- Support staff in meeting the needs of autistic pupils
- Share strategies and model approaches that make a real impact
You will also:
- Meet with staff and parents to problem-solve and offer tailored advice
- Write concise, high-quality reports after each visit
- Deliver training sessions, including whole-school INSETs, twilight sessions, and workshops at Freemantles
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a qualified teacher who:
- Has strong classroom experience supporting autistic pupils, ideally in a specialist environment or SEND department.
- Brings a deep understanding of autism strategies and inclusive practice
- Communicates confidently and compassionately with staff and families
- Writes clearly and professionally
- Is confident delivering training to a range of audiences
A full driving licence and access to a reliable car are essential, as the role involves travel across West Surrey. Mileage is reimbursed at 45p per mile.
Whilst training will be provided, we would expect the successful candidate to be experienced in using specialist interventions to support autistic students.
Salary
• Paid on MPR/UPR + SEN Allowance. This is a full-time role, although part-time working would be considered for the right candidate.
