About Us

Goldsworth Primary School is a high achieving, outstanding school where our aim is to enable all children to ‘Be the Best they Can Be’. We currently have 630 children on role.

We are part of the Bright Futures Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust which incorporates St. John’s Primary School and Knaphill Federation of Schools. The trust is led by an Chief Executive Officer, each school has its own Headteacher and dynamic leadership team. We work closely together and aim to provide a caring community and excellent education for all of the children in our care.

The school has excellent facilities including a covered in swimming pool, environmental area and a separate sports hall which help to provide the children with greater opportunities for learning.

We are very proud to be a multicultural school as our children come from diverse backgrounds within the Woking community. One of our many strengths is our emphasis on the values needed to become excellent citizens and kind, considerate people. All of our children display these values in their behaviour and attitudes to learning and each other making Goldsworth a positive, affirming place to work.

Headteacher's welcome

Thank you for expressing an interest in working at our school. Our vision is simple; we have taken the Gold of Goldsworth to express what it means to be part of the Goldsworth community:

 Growing together

 Opportunities for all

 Learning for life

 Daring to dream

We believe these four things embody our vision for the school as we aim to be a thriving, optimistic, inclusive, resilient learning community, where all who are part of it are valued for all that they are and all that they contribute to the community. The ethos of the school continually promotes the global values of respect, truth, love and hope and those who work and learn here aim to live out those values to the best of their ability.

The Goldsworth community encourages all to be self-reflective and pro-active in developing the traits needed to become successful. We have the highest aspirations for our children both for academic success and success in their relationships and personal well-being, believing that every child can achieve great things and live happy, fulfilled lives. At Goldsworth we hope to create an environment which encourages everyone who is part of it to 'Be The Best That They Can Be'. To find out more about what we mean by being GOLD, please visit our website - Vision and Values page.

Teaching and Learning at Goldsworth Primary School

We have a team of dynamic, creative teachers with a passion for engaging the children in their learning. Our emphasis is on offering a creative, flexible, inclusive curriculum which motivates and inspires all children to learn. Each year group is led by a Teaching and learning Leader who, together with the class teachers, plan exciting lessons based on engaging topics that meet the different interests and needs of the pupils. Entry and exit points for each topic are planned and provide highlights and a focus for the work. Teaching Assistants support the children’s learning using their knowledge and skills to make a difference to every child.

Working in partnership with Parents and or Carers is key to successful learning. We actively encourage parents and carers to be involved with their children's learning as well as promoting parental involvement in all aspects of school life.
