Vacancy: Nursery Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 26.5 hours a week over 52 working weeks

Working Pattern: Wednesday 12:00 noon to 6:45pm, Thursday and Friday 7:15am to 6:45pm

Grade: SWAN Grade PS3 

Actual Pro-rata Salary: £16,991 per annum (full-time equivalent £23,083 per annum)

Golden Owls Day Nursery is situated within the grounds of Goldsworth Primary School. We are a well-established, oversubscribed nursery providing full day care 50 weeks of the year. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:30pm and are registered to look after 28 children aged between 2-4 years old.

We are looking to appoint a Nursery Assistant to join our experienced friendly team. You will work as a member of the nursery team to ensure that all children who attend our nursery receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs. We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of working within a nursery or with children 0-5 years
  • A basic understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • A commitment to ensuring that all our children can be the best they can be
  • A passion and enthusiasm to work with children
  • A positive, patient and nurturing approach towards children
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of a team
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
