Greenshaw High School is a highly over-subscribed 11-19 comprehensive school situated in Sutton, south-west London, and is part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust. We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual with a passion for learning and the ability to engage and motivate our students to join our school as a Curriculum Support Officer. The successful candidate will supervise classes in the absence of teaching staff, support students in classes or extra-curricular activities, and provide administrative support to curriculum departments. There is also the opportunity to get involved in planning your own lessons, and some of our current Curriculum Support Officers’ have their own teaching loads. For the right candidate, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain classroom experience and make a difference to the lives of our students.

The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and a desire to work in the education sector, combined with a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as a team. A desire to work with young people and to support their education and achievements is essential. Candidates with an interest in teaching or a career within the education sector are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Curriculum Support team are a well-established and integral part of the classroom experience at Greenshaw High School, working closely with classroom teachers’ and supporting students with their day-to-day learning experiences. Previous Curriculum Support Officers’ have gone on to successful teaching careers, and we have a proud history of supporting some of our previous Curriculum Support Officer’s in obtaining QTS through the School Direct (salaried) training programme.
