At The Greville Primary School we provide a high quality, broad and balanced education, enriching all children in our care. We believe the child remains at the centre of all learning and teaching.
We foster caring attitudes, consideration and appreciation of others. We value and encourage respect for all cultures. We spend time developing self-esteem, self-discipline and independence.
All our children can take a pride in their achievements which are recognised and rewarded. We aim to create a happy, caring and welcoming environment in which all children are learning and achieving together.
The Greville Primary School opened in 1958 and was extended in 1996, 2004, 2005 and again in 2015-16. It currently caters for over 640 children between the ages of 4 and 11.
There are twenty-two bright, well equipped classrooms, a large hall that can accommodate the whole school and a separate dining hall (also used for drama, music and some physical education activities). We have eight group rooms, a food technology room, and junior and infant libraries which contain a wide selection of reference and non-fiction books. We have 5 sets of class laptops, 32 i pads and a wide range of ICT equipment. There is an interactive whiteboard in all classrooms. We have a well-equipped music room and 4 pianos.
The school has extensive grounds including a Woodland Walk. There is a large playing field with an activity trail, cricket nets, long jump, large play equipment and pavilion. We also have three linked playgrounds, two shelters and there is a covered early years' area with its own activity trail.
