Site Supervisor and Curriculum Technician

At Gwernyfed High School, we are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and committed Site Supervisor and Curriculum Technician to join our team.

This is a unique and rewarding role that combines site leadership, facilities management and technical curriculum support, placing you right at the heart of school life.

As our Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our school site is safe, secure and maintained to the highest possible standard. You will also provide technical support to curriculum areas, helping staff and pupils access high-quality resources for learning.

Key aspects of the role include:

Leading and supporting the cleaning and caretaking team

Maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming school environment

Managing repairs, maintenance and site presentation

Supporting health and safety compliance across the site

Acting as a key holder and responding to out-of-hours issues where required

Driving the school minibus when needed (training provided)

Providing technical support to curriculum areas especially Design and Technology (approx. 20% of the role), including maintaining equipment and supporting practical learning

We are looking for someone who:

Takes pride in their work and has high standards

Is practical, proactive and able to solve problems

Can lead and work effectively as part of a team

Is flexible, reliable and well organised

Has experience in site maintenance, caretaking, or a similar role

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people

You will also bring:

Strong organisational and communication skills

The ability to manage competing priorities and respond to emergencies

A willingness to learn new skills and undertake training

A full UK driving licence (desirable)
