Head of Modern Foreign Languages

Monmouth School for Boys seeks to appoint a full time Head of MFL from April or September 2022. The successful applicant will be a strong and inspirational leader with a desire to drive forward, in an innovative way, a department that is committed to delivering a curriculum of French, German, Russian and Spanish.


He/she must be able to teach French to A level and, ideally, to Oxbridge level, and offer a second language to GCSE. A contribution to the wider life of this busy boarding school, both in pastoral and extra-curricular activities is expected.

We offer a friendly and supportive working environment. The Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools have their own salary scale. The school is a member of the Boarding Schools’ Association and the Principal is a member of HMC.
