Our school is a caring happy place with committed and professional staff. We all work together in an effort to provide your child with the best possible start to their learning journey. We are very proud of our school, would love you to come along and meet the staff and children and see us in operation.

At Hartlebury Church of England (Voluntary Controlled) Primary School we have a nurturing environment embedded with the core Christian values of Compassion, Respect and Forgiveness. This trinity of Christian values is underpinned by many other values that we learn about and develop throughout the year. Although our values are not exclusively Christian we approach them through the teachings of Jesus and develop our understanding from this Christian view point.

We strive to create a school family that nurtures and supports the whole school community; treating everyone with love, compassion and respect.

We aim to:

• Prepare children for life in a multi-cultural, multi-faith world.
• Support children’s social, moral, spiritual and cultural development.
• Enable children to consider and develop Christian values and beliefs as a positive force for good.
• Be inclusive; fostering a real sense of community and unity for all our stakeholders.
• Enable children to understand and develop the Christian values of Compassion, Respect and Forgiveness.

We have close links with the parish church of St James’ in Hartlebury. Members of their congregation join us regularly for worship. We celebrate a daily act of worship with the whole school based around our monthly value. Worship is led by a variety of people and groups, including the children, the teaching staff, the vicar, members of St James’ and our local community.

Severn Academies Educational Trust formed in 2016 by a group of like-minded Governors and Headteachers, our Trust is one of the first and longest established Multi Academy Trusts in Worcestershire. We are a growing, forward-thinking and outward-facing Trust that sets out to show what strong collaboration and shared practice can achieve for children and their families.

From the very first day of our Trust, our Mission has been to provide the nurturing conditions for children to grow into outstanding young people who are capable of leading brilliant lives. Our Vision places personal growth, community and excellence at the heart of everything we aspire towards and do. Our Mission and Vision permeate all aspects of our work and allow our self-determined schools to ensure a broad and enriching experience where students are proud of their achievements, are empowered and aspirational.

As a Trust we recognise the uniqueness of all our schools and the communities they serve. In collaborating, we also appreciate the importance of our collective desire to uphold and promote our Values. This is demonstrated in our shared ambition to deliver our Trust 'Pledge' for our children and their families. The Pledge outlines our commitment to the very best personal development opportunities, helping our students to become well-rounded individuals enjoying their learning whilst developing the skills, values and qualities needed to live happy and fulfilling lives.
