I am delighted and honoured to be the Headteacher at Hawthorn Community Primary School. Our school sits in the very heart of our community and although it has 130 years of heritage, we have our eyes very firmly fixed on the future.

The children at Hawthorn are at the heart of every decision we make. Through our values of Teamwork, Community, Respect, Thoughtfulness, Resilience and Creativity, we have created an environment where our children are keen and enthusiastic to learn. We offer an engaging, broad and balanced curriculum, which aims to spark the children’s curiosity and cultivate a passion for life-long learning. Our curriculum brings knowledge, skills and understanding alive ensuring that whilst our children are learning, they are also having fun and creating a lifetime of memories!

At Hawthorn, our dedicated team of staff work tirelessly to support our children’s wellbeing, achieve high standards and provide opportunities that will shape their futures.

We are proud to be part of Symphony Learning Trust and share the Academy Trust’s values of Aspiration, Innovation and Excellence. We aim to provide our children with the skills they need for their role in the wider world, so to this end, we also offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, music and sporting opportunities.
