Job Title: Lunchtime Playworker

Actual Annual Salary: £4,718 - £4,895

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £23,864 - £24,755 (CLF Grade Aii) Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.

Contract: Permanent, Part Time, Term Time only

Hours: 8.75 per week (Mon-Fri 11:35am – 1:20pm)

We are looking for a Play Worker to join our supportive and talented team at Wallscourt Farm Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. This role is essential in supporting children's development through play and structured activities in a nursery setting.

About You:

You will have:

  • the ability to manage daily activities and routines to ensure a safe and stimulating environment for children. 
  • great communication skills to encourage children to participation in play and learning activities. 
  • good safety and well-being awareness. 
  • the want to implement engaging activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. 
  • supportive skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. 
  • the need to maintain cleanliness and organisation of the play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.

This role has significant responsibility for ensuring safeguarding practice within the academy. This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
