We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Technology to join our successful department at Hazel Grove High School. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that develop creativity, technical skills, and a passion for design. Whether you’re an Early Career Teacher or an experienced Teacher, we welcome individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality, engaging Design and Technology lessons that foster curiosity and academic success.
Across Years 7–9, students build their skills and independence within the Design Technology curriculum through engaging, practical learning. In Year 7, they are introduced to specialist environments and develop confidence and enthusiasm for the subject. By Year 8, they expand their problem‑solving and practical abilities by working with a range of materials and ingredients to create products for specific target markets. In Year 9, students explore new technologies such as electronic components and CAD/CAM, learning to work to industry standards across Food and Nutrition, Design & Technology and Textiles. A focus on quality control, cultural understanding and real‑world applications helps inspire a love of learning and offers insight into professional design practice.
