Heatherbrook Primary Academy is looking for someone to lead its Governing Body as the Chair of Governors. We are ideally looking for somebody who has existing experience as a Governor or works/has worked in education. This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to support children in their local community, as well as develop their own leadership skills.
The Role
With the support of the Trust’s Lead Governance Professional and Clerk, the Chair leads the Local Governing Body, ensuring it fulfils its functions and responsibilities effectively. The Chair sets the tone for high expectations, ensuring the LGB focuses on pupil outcomes, supporting and challenging the Principal and acting as a key link between the school, parents, the community, and the wider Trust.
