Highfield South Farnham stands on an attractive two-acre site sitting in the south of Farnham.

We are a Primary and Nursery School situated on Weydon Lane. The school opened  in February 2015 as part of South Farnham Educational Trust, welcoming pupils in the age range 3-11 years.

The learning environment includes a well-equipped library, a music studio including three small group learning rooms, an additional learning zone  and food technology area. A multipurpose hall, used on a daily basis, offers a full range of gymnastic apparatus and performance space.  The two acres of play area include grassed sports fields, EYFS playground, a netball court and purpose built outside classroom surrounded by woodland.  

Extensive developments to our educational provision are ongoing, including a further covered teaching area to the rear of school and a multi-use games area. Most of the children move on to Weydon Secondary School when they leave at 11 years of age, although once again parents have the right to choose any secondary school.  We maintain close contact with Weydon to preserve continuity in our children's education.

The school was built in 1968 and is a co-educational one-form entry primary school providing a seamless education for pupils from 3 to 11 years. The school is organised into 3 Key Stages. The Foundation Stage catering for pupils 3-5 years, admitting pupils from 3 years old into the school’s nursery class, with pupils transferring to the reception class the September after their 4th birthday. Key Stage 1 (the infants) provides for pupils aged 6-7 years and Key Stage 2 (the juniors) providing for pupils from 7 – 11 years.

The main buildings hosts: Seven purpose built classrooms around a central quad each with cloakrooms and toilet facilities. A purpose built nursery class. A central hall / gymnasium with changing area. Studio building providing group teaching rooms, offices, kitchen and large teaching room for the delivery of the creative arts. A purpose built library, Large Information communication suite/ music / home economics teaching area / Offices / Staffroom

The Nursery building provides:¨ a parent meeting room¨ a soft play room¨ large outside play area¨ a large teaching space with attached quiet room

South Farnham Educational Trust is a growing Multi Academy Trust which was formed in 2015.

The Raleigh School, a popular two form entry primary school in the semi-rural village of West Horsley. Following an Ofsted inspection in December 2017 it has also moved to an 'Outstanding' school from the previous 'Good' judgement, it is a primary school consisting of 436 pupils from 4-11.

Wallace Fields Infant School and Nursery, a thriving two form entry small, friendly, caring infant school and Shining Stars Nursery based in Ewell recognised as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

Busbridge Infant School, a popular two form entry infant school based in Godalming, Surrey.

Great Bookham School, a two form entry primary school based in Great Bookham, Surrey.

Our associate member is St Mary's C of E (Aided) Infant School.

Our Teaching School Hub is one of 87 centres of excellence for teaching training and development in the country. We provide high-quality professional development to teachers in over 300 schools and at each stage of their career (from TA to executive leadership), outstanding teacher training and appropriate body services.

South Farnham SCITT - a primary Initial Teacher Training partnership of over 220 schools; graded 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted. Nationally recognised within the DfE to be at the forefront of school-based training.
