Headteacher's Welcome

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Hillview School for Girls, we are a high-achieving, popular, single-sex secondary school located in the heart of Tonbridge. At Hillview, we value our students’ individualities and creativity, and work together, as the entire school community, to empower our learners to achieve their ‘Pure Potential’ whilst at school, and to prepare them for the world outside and beyond our doors.

Hillview is repeatedly recognised as one of the top performing non-selective schools, achieving above average nationally compared to all schools (Progress 8), well above average compared to other non-selective schools, and is the highest achieving non-selective girls’ school in Kent.

We have a nurturing and warm community, where our students are able to build their confidence and self-belief, and learn within our calm and focused learning environments. Our students access exceptional provision and opportunities with our Performing and Visual Arts specialist subjects. The high standards of education seen within the arts is replicated across the school and all students, with any interests and passions can find a home here and be supported and empowered in their educational journey and achieve success.

Our role is not just to ensure that our students achieve good grades, but to focus on the well-being of the child. We believe passionately about the care that we offer our students and are widely recognised for this support. Our PDL (personal development learning) lessons offer a unique and specialist programme of study, supporting every student in the transition to adulthood and moving out into the world beyond education.

A Hillview student is confident, aspirational, resilient and determined.
