Position: Visiting Teacher of Piano
Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA
Hours: The number of lessons will depend on demand and cannot be guaranteed. Initially there will be six pupils, however demand for piano at Badminton is very strong. There will also be opportunities to undertake occasional accompanying at concerts and examinations as part of the role.
The closing date for this position will be Thursday 13th November 2025

We are looking for a Visiting Teacher of Piano to support the school.
Main responsibilities include:
• To stimulate and foster enthusiasm for piano playing within the school
• Employing good subject knowledge, become fully acquainted with the appropriate specifications and exam boards and carry out the requirements thereof
• Prepare lessons taking account of the pupils’ abilities
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of pupils with special needs and facilitate their work accordingly
To be considered for this position, we are looking for the following:
• Applicants must be an outstanding pianist
• Applicants must have appropriate academic qualifications for the role, which for most teaching posts means a good degree in the relevant subject
• You will be thorough in preparing lessons and assessing and monitoring progress as well as keeping full records and writing detailed reports.
• Applicants should be an experienced teacher of piano.
